“When I look back on my 8 years as a social worker, I stand in awe to see the difference that I have made in the lives of people. My days were filled with a lot of difficult challenges, regardless of what occurred during the day, I couldn’t help but sense as though I made a small but significant difference in someone ‘s life. I left everyday anticipating the opportunity to come back the following day. I am grateful that I formed part in the process of change and that I was given the opportunity to support people through it.”
“My training and background include a degree in Social Work, training in parenting skills and drug and alcohol abuse, working with diverse communities with different social ills and working with persons with disabilities.
My passion is to work with communities. To not only see people coping with difficulties, but also to see people thrive and become what they ought to be. I believe I was given the gift to care for others and believing that everyone has the power to change and contribute something to their society.”
“I am excited for my new venture at the Co Op Community Trust and believe that through this new venture people will be given the guidance they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling, happy lives.
Coretta Scotte King once said “The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members”…What a joy and privilege to be part of this in peoples’ lives through working at the Co Op!!”
